No More Free Parking in Downtown PDF Print E-mail

Want to warn you regulars who have been coming down earlier with the free parking. The meters are back in place. Bring change.

It appears short sightedness and politics took hold. From what I heard, some city council members may have voted to put the meters back because of politics as much as any other reason. Citing a shortfall of about $10,000 of lost revenue per month. The problem with this figure is it's a gross figure, and doesn't take into account other gains in revenue or reduced expenses. Such as increased taxes with better sales figures, not maintaining the meters, or paying to have the meters cleared of money and counting, etc.
